Get started on making your home more comfortable and efficient by scheduling a home energy assessment. This in-depth assessment typically lasts two to four hours and results in a customized report of your home’s energy performance that will help you choose your upgrades.
Your Energy Auditor can diagnose problems such as drafty windows and doors, poor insulation, and inefficient appliances. The auditor uses specialized equipment, such as infrared cameras, to pinpoint insulation gaps in your walls, ceilings, and floors, and they can depressurize your whole house to uncover the sources of drafts.
This assessment is valued at $400, but costs you just $95 thanks to a special rebate from Seattle City Light. After you fill out the Community Power Works application you’ll be put in contact with an Energy Auditor so you can schedule your home energy assessment.
Once you know your home’s opportunities for energy savings, you can choose your upgrades and apply Community Power Works rebates and incentives to lower the cost of your project.
